AI AUTOMATION & AGENTS
AI agents for the work between your systems
Put a recurring workflow in motion with an AI agent that has a defined job and clear limits. Grendigital’s AI automation services help businesses connect recurring workflows, reduce manual handovers and keep a practical route back to their team.

WHERE TO BEGIN
Choose a task your team knows well.
The best starting point is a process you can explain through recent examples. We assess where AI can interpret information and where a straightforward automation can carry out an agreed step.

FROM WORKFLOW TO PILOT
Work out what good performance looks like.
An agent needs a task that can be assessed. We agree the expected behaviour before building, using examples drawn from the way your business actually works.
Trace the current workflow
Follow a request through the people and systems involved. Identify the information each step requires and the points where someone makes a judgement.
Define the operating boundaries
Agree what the agent can read, what it may change and which actions require approval. Decide what it should do when the information is missing or conflicting.
Build and evaluate
Connect the agreed sources and tools, then test representative cases. Include difficult requests and service failures so the review covers more than the expected path.
Pilot with a responsible owner
Release to an agreed group or workflow segment. Review the results with an owner who can resolve exceptions and decide whether the scope should expand.
DESIGNED FOR OVERSIGHT
Keep the handover to your team clear.
AI output can be wrong or incomplete. A useful workflow makes that manageable through defined permissions, appropriate review and a record of what happened.
Approved information
Identify the material the agent can use and who keeps it current. Limit access to the records needed for its task and preserve the separation between customers where relevant.
Actions with consequences
Sending a message and changing a customer record need different controls from preparing a draft. We agree approval requirements around the consequence of each action.
An actionable exception
When a step cannot complete, the team needs enough context to respond. Plan the owner and the information passed back, including how to resume without repeating a completed action.
Evaluation after changes
A new model or a revised workflow can change behaviour. Retest the relevant cases and review performance as part of the agreed maintenance arrangements.
ASSESSING THE SCOPE
What makes a workflow a useful candidate?
A frequent task may deserve attention, but frequency alone does not establish value. We consider the effort involved, the available information and the cost of a mistake.

A repeatable starting event
A submitted enquiry or a record change gives the process a clear beginning. Vague instructions to run an entire department are harder to assess and maintain.
Information the workflow can reach
The agent needs supported access to the relevant systems and reliable source material. Missing access or inconsistent records may need work before a pilot is useful.
A result someone can judge
Agree what a correct completion looks like. Compare the pilot with the existing process, accounting for review effort and exceptions as well as completed tasks.
A viable ongoing cost
Model usage, connected services and monitoring contribute to running costs. Estimate them against expected volume before deciding whether to extend the workflow.

A FOCUSED START
Your first workflow
Bring one recurring process and a few examples. We can assess what could be automated and where an AI-assisted step would need review.
Discuss a workflowBUYING QUESTIONS
Before you commission an AI agent.
A useful discussion starts with the work you want to improve. You do not need to choose a model or automation platform first.
Does every workflow need AI?
A defined rule can often handle a predictable step. AI can help when the task involves interpreting language or preparing a response from context. We assess each part of the process and use AI where its contribution can be tested.
Can an agent work without approving every step?
That depends on the action and its consequences. Some routine steps can proceed under agreed rules; others need a person to approve them. We define that boundary with you and check it during testing.
What do we need to maintain after launch?
The workflow needs a responsible owner, current source information and a way to review exceptions. Connected platforms and model behaviour can change. Agree monitoring and support responsibilities before rollout, including how future changes will be tested.
